perFormance Fridays

As a partnership and extension of the Humanities Center’s winDDown, ArtsLehigh presents performing artists in the casual atmosphere of the ArtsLehigh space. Our first session was a success, billing Lehigh student Ben McGehee, transfer student from Tulane University and prizewinning jazz pianist with local artist Jason Hedrington, keyboardist of the Insidious Rays. The house was packed and students are ready for more.

This semester, we are inviting recent Lehigh alums who are continuing to define their way in creativity and performance:

  1. Lolie and the Ooftah Boys, February 17, 2006 (Tom Bierowksi, ’04, PhD) Established the Drown Writer Series and is now Assistant Professor at Alvernia College.
  2. Justin Solonynka, March 31, 2006 (’03 – Math Major) Currently teaching math at Germantown Academy in Philadelphia. http://home.comcast.net/~jsolony/TLM/home.htm
  3. Gelsey Bell, April 28, 2006 (’05) Currently pursuing a Master’s degree at NYU Performing Arts School and performing regularly in the indie-folk music scene of Manhattan. http://www.gelseybell.com/
