Nanoscience & Nanotechnology Track |
| The Nanoscience and Nanotechnology track in Liberal Studies program is an interdisciplinary program designed for students seeking a collaborative education that meets the broad and expanding needs for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology education. The program offers students educational experiences across disciplines in any of four different subject areas and one of sixteen minors, together with the subject area in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology. Students receive specialization in science and engineering subjects, including six specialized courses in Nanoscience & Nanotechnology. There is an emphasis on encouraging talented undergraduate students to learn science and technology at the nano scale. The program is particularly attentive to being inclusive and to guiding students towards pursuing graduate studies and finding opportunities in industry. Students interested in nanoresearch can compete for grants through the Nano Initiative CoordinatorÂ’s office. A faculty committee from the Nanoscience field will judge the applicantsÂ’ for awards. |
